This Rajasthani businessman was found dead because of the alertness of the cab driver. Two men are arrested in connection with the murder. Apparently, the motive for the murder is business rivalry. The murderer, Bhagaram, was apparently killed by Krishnapal Singh and Karan Singh.
The two accused hired a cab to carry the body across the Bhola Muragachha Bridge to a region near the Kalyani Expressway. When the cab driver stopped and asked about them, luck had it that a patrol of the Bhola Police was present in the area. While questioned by the police, Krishnapal Singh tried to flee, but the police managed to capture him. When they opened the car trunk, the body stuffed inside a trolley bag was found.
According to police sources, the deceased businessman was a resident of Kerala village in Rajasthan. The entire episode unfolded in the arrest of the two accused, who confessed before the police that Bhagaram owed them ₹8 lakh. Unable to wait any longer for the payment, they decided to kill him.
They had also decided to dump his body in a lake near Ghola. Had the cab driver not acted promptly and had the Bhola Police not arrived in the nick of time, the incident would have remained buried in the conscience of those involved. The police administration is on high alert.
The police tracked down the two men from Nagerbazar, where they had hired a cab, and closely monitored their every movement. An in-depth investigation pointed out that Bhagaram, Krishnapal Singh, and Karan Singh had been living in a rented house in Kolkata for the past four years. All three were involved in the textile business. The issues regarding ₹8 lakh finally led to Bhagaram being killed. After the murder, he was stuffed into a trolley bag and driven straight to Nagerbazar. Further investigation found that the deceased had actually been killed in Mukhtarama Babu Street, inside their rented house.
Police later arrested Krishnapal Singh from that very location. After the murder, the body was stuffed into a trolley bag and moved. Police are still tracing the exact motive behind the murder, but the bag contained ₹65,000. Pre-investigations indicate that Bhagaram was first poisoned via his coffee mixed with some drug and then suffocated afterward. After that, the culprits planned to dump the dead body in a lake nearby Ghola.

Earlier, there was another similar case in Kumartuli, in which a body was also found inside a trolley bag.
Again, a body of a businessman was discovered stuffed inside a trolley bag inside the trunk of a cab parked alongside Kalyani Expressway. Because of the alertness of the cab driver, the truth and reality of the case were found by the police, and now both assailants are in police custody.
